SGS Celebrates Chinese New Year on Feb. 1

Saint George’s will be celebrating the Chinese New Year on Tuesday, Feb. 1 during lunch. It is the YEAR OF THE TIGER and students in the Middle and Upper Schools will be treated to egg rolls, potstickers, and sesame balls. Alyssa Zhao also is hiding Chinese fortunes around the Upper School. From Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon, the first 10 students to find all five fortunes and show them to Alyssa will get a prize (see Fortune Hunting Instructions). Plus, Chinese teacher Qingqing Ji has selected several videos that students can watch in different classrooms during lunch, including this one of the Winter Olympics Theme Song.

Happy Year of the Tiger!
