Two Singers Score High at State Finals
Ashley Van Curler was ranked 5th in the State in the Alto Vocal Division at this weekend's Washington State Solo and Ensemble Finals in Ellensburg. Hayden Heftel also earned a Superior rating, and the two of them received a Superior for their Duet.

SGS Auction Hits Fundraising Goal
James Bond 007 - The Red Dragon Auction on Saturday, April 12 at the Davenport Hotel was a fun, exciting evening, and the event raised more than $100,000 for Saint George's School. Proceeds from the Auction support every aspect of educational operations: academics, athletics, the arts, technology, financial aid, faculty professional development, and more.

Five SGS Students Win Spokane Scholar Awards
Molly Ostheller was named the top local high school senior in the field of Social Studies, and four other Saint George's students received cash awards as well at the Spokane Scholars banquet on Monday, April 21. Congratulations to Emma Perkins (2nd in World Languages), Elizabeth Hsu (3rd in English), Emily Stratton (4th in Fine Arts), Nathaniel Wynn (4th in Mathematics), and Jaejin Kim (our nominee in Science).

The Spokane Regional MarCom Association held its annual Spark Awards last week, and Saint George's walked away with five awards for our communication efforts. Exercise Muscles & Brains at SGS Summer Camps
Saint George's has a full schedule of academic, arts and athletic summer camps. Kids can solve math mysteries of ancient Athens, build and program Lego robots, prep for the SATs, and sharpen their basketball skills with former Zag point guard (and current SGS assistant coach) Winston Brooks! Drama Students Prepare to Get Footloose!
The Upper School spring musical Footloose follows Ren McCormack's move from Chicago to rural Bomont, Texas in a high-energy show based on the popular film from the 1980s. Performances are April 23, 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. in Founders Theater, and tickets are $3. Purchase general admission tickets in person from Yvonne Wilhelm in the Upper School Office.

Laurel Fish Wins Chase Youth Leadership Award
Of the more than 2000 local youth who were nominated for Chase Youth Awards, Saint George's junior Laurel Fish was given the Teen Leadership Award. Her community service involvement has covered everything from combatting hunger and promoting disaster relief to helping support a new high school in El Salvador.

Knowledge Bowl Team Recaptures State 2B Title
