Endowment - Errol Schmidt Scholarship Fund

The Errol Schmidt Endowed Scholarship Fund was created in 2014 to honor one of the longest-serving and most loved teachers in the history of Saint George's School!

Erroll began teaching at Saint George’s School in 1968, and he would remain at SGS until he retired in 2003.  In his 35 year career here, he taught math, science, and coached a number of sports, but more importantly he would say that he taught kids. His positive impact on students, parents, teachers, administrators, and anybody who came in contact with him was inspiring to all.

In many ways, the school’s mission statement “inspiring scholars, athletes, and artists to lead and serve others” could have been a summary of his teaching career.  In 2003, Errol and Robin retired to Indianola, Washington, where he passed away on February 22, 2014.

The following individuals made generous contributions to the Errol Schmidt Endowed Scholarship Fund during the most recent fiscal year.  They are helping make a Saint George’s education available for even more students in the future.  To learn more about the endowed scholarship fund, contact Joe.Kennedy@sgs.org.
