Welcome
Saint George’s Lower School is a great place to learn

- Nancy Spencer, Head of Lower School
Children can do the most amazing things when they are challenged to do their best in the right learning environment. Walking in the front door of Saint George’s Lower School you can sense the creative energy, the joy in learning, and the care we have for each other and this place.
Here students learn from experienced and talented teachers who stimulate their curiosity, creativity and critical thinking skills. They master the fundamentals of reading, writing and mathematics. Students build strong habits of the heart and mind as they learn, achieve success, and work cooperatively with others in our safe and fun community.
As a result, Lower School students really perform! Kinder-garteners write their own first books; fifth graders research, paint and portray the works of famous artists; third graders stage shows in French; and second graders become “Tabletop Poets.”
High expectations, individual attention, and teachers who bring their own passion to the classroom make Saint George’s a great place to learn. I hope you will visit the Lower School and discover how your child can do amazing things with us.
