  • Children's Author Give Books to Students

    Thanks to Dallas Clayton for visiting Saint George's

    Childrens author Dallas Clayton visited SGS last week to read his "An Awesome Book" and surprise the K, 1st, and 2nd graders with copies of the book. His foundation gives away a book for every one that is purchased.   • LS Book Election Puts Squirrel on Top

    Scaredy Squirrel
    Lower School students and teachers cast their ballots on Tuesday, Nov. 4 for the best new library book. The winner in a landslide was "Scaredy Squirrel" by Melanie Watt, with the anxious rodent taking 70 out of 155 votes in the four-way race. The runner-up was "Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins" by Eric Kimmel, followed by "Once Upon A Cool Motorcycle Dude" by Kevin O’Malley and "Dogzilla" by Dav Pilkey. It was a fun way for the Lower School to get into the election season excitement.

  • "Reading is the Ticket" for LS Students

    The Tremors rollercoaster at Silverwood
    This year, 54 Lower School students earned a free ticket to the Silverwood Theme Park through the "Reading is the Ticket" program. This was the Lower School's second year of participation and the challenge was to read 10 hours or 600 minutes for pleasure -- assigned reading for homework didn't count!
