College Counseling

Personal attention, great resources,
and experience in the college process

Saint George's School

A college prep school should understand the college process, and Saint George’s does. Each student and their family receives individualized guidance throughout the process from our full-time college counselor, beginning with informative meetings on college and financial aid options in Middle School and continuing through the student’s Upper School years.

A steady stream of college representatives visit our campus. Students learn about schools they might not have considered and can compare how their academics and outside activities match up with what colleges are looking for in their applicants. In fact we’ve built relationships with colleges across the country. Our counselor knows what different schools offer and can share that with students or can call admissions counselors with advice about a particular student’s situation.

The following pages offer links and information on tests and applications, an online service where students can track the college process, news and photos of student trips to visit West Coast colleges, documents to download, and a list of schools our graduates attend. It is these kinds of resources, along with one-on-one attention and our extensive connections, that ensure each Saint George’s student finds – and gains admission to – the college that is the best fit for them.

Cathy helped me ask the right questions to decide on the right college for me. She was right on target with her advice, and helped settle my mom’s concerns about the whole process.
